Current owner 20 years; Triumph Herald running gear; recent
recommissioning following seven years in storage; cheap fun classic
motoring
First registered in May 1986, this
Gentry is based on a Triumph Herald to resemble an MG TF and uses the
1296cc Triumph engine and four-speed gearbox.
Owned by our vendor for 20 years, he enjoyed this car over the
summer months until he moved abroad seven years ago. The car has since been
stood in dry storage until earlier this year when he returned and gave this
Gentry a thorough recommissioning.
The
recommissioning included rebuilding the brake and clutch master cylinder as well
as the clutch slave cylinder, re-built front brake calipers along with new brake
shoes all round and finished off with a full service where every fluid was
changed. After his hard work was finished our vendor took his Gentry on one last
300-mile blast before he dropped it into us before returning home to
Australia.
Running and driving nicely on site,
this Gentry has an MOT until September 2025 with just a couple of minor
advisories and is offered here at no reserve.
