Description
Prepped for hill climbs;
dyno sheet shows 232bhp; plenty of history; great exhaust note; just some minor
recommissioning to get this TVR back on the
hills
First registered in August
1997, this TVR shows 84,696 miles on the odometer and four former keepers on the
logbook, and comes with a print-out showing it put down 232bhp on the
dyno.
It comes with a good
sized history folder including the service book showing nine stamps, the
last in February 2016 at 82,993 miles, although there is evidence of
other unstamped services both before and after this, including one
in January 2018 at 84,226 miles.
There are also lots of
invoices including one for a bit of an overhaul in August 2017 by Neil
Garner in Malmesbury. This included the fitment of a new MC1
camshaft and a new alternator, along with a drain and flush of all
fluids.
The main bunch of the invoices
in the file are older including one for a rebuild of the shock absorbers and new
suspension springs in 2015. The last MOT was issued in September 2023 which it
passed with three advisories and it has only covered 25 miles
since.
Prepped and used lightly as a
hill climb/sprint car, we noted the brakes were sticking slightly as we
moved it around our site, but apart from that it has been starting promptly and
driving nicely with a very rousing exhaust note!
