The Saloon
of Swinging London; Grace, space, and pace in metallic grey; showing only 54,901
miles; only two former keepers
Finished in
metallic grey with timeless poise, this 1964 Jaguar MkII 2.4 Automatic has
covered just 54,901 miles. Powered by the smooth 2.4-litre straight-six, it offered refined motoring at a time when Britain was alive
with The Beatles, Carnaby Street, and the glamour of the Swinging
Sixties.
Accompanied by a rich history file including V5C, 13 old MOT
certificates, handbook, invoices, and evidence of extensive recent repair works,
this example has clearly been cherished. With its wood-and-leather cabin, chrome detailing, and unmistakable sporting lines, the
MkII remains an icon of 1960s British motoring
sophistication.
This example was first registered
in July 1964 and is showing as only two former keepers, and a folder of history
including invoices for recent works
in excess of £4000.
Driven 50 miles to the sale
and has been running nicely while on site for the photographs and
video.
