This 1970 Jaguar E-Type Series
2+2 is an original UK-supplied right-hand drive example first registered on 29th
May 1970 by the renowned Henlys of London.
Built on 1st April 1970, this
highly desirable E-Type retains its original matching chassis, body, engine and
gearbox numbers, further supported by an accompanying Jaguar Daimler Heritage
Trust certificate. The attractive registration number KRC 14 is included with
the vehicle.
Powered by the legendary
4,235cc six-cylinder engine paired with a manual gearbox, this elegant example
is presented in Cream with a black leather interior, a timeless colour
combination that perfectly complements the E-Type's iconic styling.
The
car has had just three former keepers and has been in long-term ownership since
October 1978, highlighting the care and enthusiasm of its custodians over the
years. The documented ownership history records Mr P.J. Blaikley until December
1976, a brief period of ownership during 1977, followed by Mr K.R. Collins from
May 1977 onwards.
In 2010, the car underwent a
comprehensive rebuild and restoration, returning it to a very high standard.
Following this, the Jaguar was placed into dry storage and remained unused from
2018 onwards. Recognising the importance of maintaining such a special car
correctly, it was professionally recommissioned in 2025 at a cost of
approximately £6,500 to ensure it was once again ready for road
use.
During our time with the
vehicle, the E-Type started readily, ran, drove and stopped exactly as one would
expect. Overall, it presents in very nice condition throughout and offers its
next owner the opportunity to simply get in and enjoy one of Britain's most
iconic sports cars, whether on local drives, classic car events or extended
European touring adventures.
The new owner will need to
apply for a new V5C registration document.
