Left hand drive Lusso edition; imported in 2021 and only one keeper
since; registered as a historic vehicle; runs and drives; from a deceased
estate
This Fiat 500L, the more highly specified
Lusso version, was originally registered in Italy and subsequently imported to
the UK, where it was first registered in September 2021. The 500L was produced
from 1968 to 1972 and retained Fiat's 499cc rear-mounted, air-cooled
two-cylinder engine.
The car is left-hand drive
and is fitted with the characteristic 500L interior, including the fluted black
vinyl upholstery and horizontal speedometer. It also retains a folding fabric
sunroof. The car presents well overall, with some age-related marks to the
bodywork consistent with its age.
Following its
arrival in the UK, the ignition components were renewed and a new battery has
been fitted immediately prior to the auction.
The
accompanying paperwork includes the original Italian registration document,
together with the appropriate NOVA documentation relating to its importation
into the UK. There has been just one recorded keeper since its
arrival.
The car is registered as a historic
vehicle and is therefore exempt from compulsory MOT testing and, subject to the
normal historic vehicle taxation requirements, is eligible for free vehicle
tax.
A nicely presented Italian-market 500L with
useful original documentation, a straightforward UK history since import and the
desirable left-hand-drive configuration.
