paintwork; showing just 55,040 miles; use and improve example
Registered in 1968, this Mk1 Morris 1100 Deluxe four-door saloon is
finished in Tartan Red and has had just five previous keepers, including our
vendor, with the first keeping the car a commendable 50
years.
Showing 55,040 miles, the car presents in
honest and largely unrestored condition, with the Tartan Red paintwork now
appearing quite flat in places. The worst affected areas have been photographed
for prospective buyers to inspect, with the bodywork and cosmetics reflecting
the age and condition of this example. Nevertheless, this arguably gives this
little classic a charm of its own and it remains incredibly usable for everyday
driving duties without fear of spoiling a more pristine
example.
Our vendor tells us the car is being
offered for sale due to lack of use and it has been running and driving around
site during our preparation for the sale.
A
likeable example of BMC's popular family saloon, this Mk1 1100 Deluxe would
perhaps benefit from some cosmetic recommissioning if desired but remains a
usable and honest example of the breed as is. A tempting classic runaround for
the upcoming Autumn months.
