Showing 106,759 miles; in storage since
2020; 3.2-litre six-cylinder common-rail diesel engine; potential for further
recommissioning and enjoyment
Finished in Argonite
Blue Metallic and showing 106,759 miles, this Mercedes-Benz E320 CDI
Avantgarde has been in the ownership of its current keeper since August 2015.
First registered in December 2002, it is powered by the highly regarded
3.2-litre six-cylinder diesel engine, driving through a five-speed automatic
transmission.
Representing the W211 generation of E-Class,
the E320 CDI is widely regarded as one of Mercedes-Benz's most capable
long-distance cruisers, combining impressive performance with strong fuel
economy and exceptional refinement. In Avantgarde specification, the car
benefits from a sporty appearance and a higher level of equipment than standard
models.
Having
spent recent years in storage since 2020, the car has seen very little use in
that period. Following consignment, we charged the battery and were pleased to
find that the engine started readily without issue. The vehicle has subsequently
been driven around our site and moved under its own power. Prospective
purchasers should note, however, that several warning messages and fault
indications are currently displayed on the dashboard and the car is therefore
offered as seen.
Finished in an attractive shade of metallic
light blue, the car presents an increasingly scarce example of a six-cylinder
diesel Mercedes from an era renowned for engineering integrity and effortless
motorway performance. With sensible mileage and long-term ownership, it offers
an appealing opportunity for an enthusiast or home mechanic prepared to
recommission and investigate the displayed faults.
Please note that the registration
number currently displayed on the vehicle is being retained by the vendor and is
in the process of being transferred therefore, will be supplied with an
age-related registration number. Also included are two keys.
An appealing and well-specified
E-Class diesel saloon that starts, runs and drives, offering considerable
potential for further recommissioning and
enjoyment.
