blue pinstripe upholstery, this right-hand-drive 300 SE shows 92,791 miles,
believed genuine, and benefits from an exceptional history file, including
extensive invoices dating back to 1988 and a remarkably comprehensive service
history, with annual servicing recorded from new through to 2023 and again in
2026.
The car remained with its
first owner for 30 years. Always garaged, it has received regular maintenance,
including brake fluid and coolant changes, a replacement alternator in 2026 and
previous bodywork repairs. These included replacement sills, the offside front
wing and sections of both rear wings in 2017, following a nearside front wing
replacement in 2016.
The coachwork presents well
overall, although various areas of paintwork deterioration and localised
corrosion are noted, including to several wings and doors. The chrome front
bumper has significant corrosion, including holes, while the remaining
brightwork is generally presentable.
The blue cloth interior is in
very good condition for its age, with the driver's seat retrimmed in 2017. The
wood trim remains glossy, and the cabin retains its original Blaupunkt radio,
electric windows, central locking and sliding sunroof. Most equipment tested was
working, although the dealer-fitted air conditioning is currently
inoperative.
Powered by Mercedes-Benz's
smooth 3.0-litre straight-six engine and four-speed automatic transmission, the
car starts, idles and drives well following recent work to address an intake
manifold air leak and a sticking idle control valve. The engine bay and
underside appear generally sound, with no structural corrosion advisories
recorded on previous MOT tests.
The history file includes the
original Mercedes-Benz wallet and book pack, service records, numerous invoices
and expired MOT certificates. A recent vehicle history check is clear. The MOT
