1967 Land Rover Series IIa Six-Cylinder
Trayback
A very rare and intersting variant; factory
six-cylinder; Ozzy trayback body with tilt; lovely condition; rock solid; ready
for UK registration
This stunning six-cylinder Series IIa lived for
the first 50 years of its life on a farm in Victoria, Australia. Exported as a
CKD kit for local assembly, the local market demanded the hugely practical
'utility/tray' configuration which was particularly popular with farmers who
appreciated the large area and low load height.
This particular IIa was very
much loved by its original owner; the vendor acquiring it directly from him. He
has treasured its unique qualities ever since and is very reluctantly offering
it for sale due to an acute lack of storage.
As one can see, the truck remains in lovely original order and plenty of
work has been done to protect the chassis from the less amenable UK climate and
keep it usable and ready for the road since its arrival back here in 2017. It
presents extremely well and is in fine order, including a new and cleverly
designed tilt with roll up sides.
There are sufficient documents included
from the Land Rover Series 2 Club Vehicle Registrations Officer and the
all-important NOVA number which can be attached to the DVLA registration
application for straight forward UK registration.
Rare and interesting, this lovely Series IIa is a must for any serious
Land Rover collector.
