c.1955 Ford E83W Pickup
Owned by the same family for at least the last 10 years after long term ownership; rolling restoration project
Introduced in 1938 and aimed at the small haulage market, these little trucks were often designed for only one occupant, the passenger seat being an optional extra due to the 10HP side valve engine being where ones leg room could be.
This E83W is not currently registered and is in the early stages of a stalled restoration. As can be seen from the photographs, the body been recently bolted back on to the chassis and a relatively recently built pickup section is to the rear.
There is no paperwork to accompany this vehicle but the registration does not seem to be assigned to any other machine so with a little mechanical know how, the purchasing of a few parts and a good deal of patience, this rolling chassis could be on the road again soon.
