1975 Rover 2200SC P6 Auto
Good usable car with
recent cylinder head overhaul with new valves and guides; used regualrly and
driven 80 miles to the sale
Dating from August 1975 this smart and
eminently usable Series II 2200 Single Carb (SC) Automatic has been loved by our
engineer owner for the last 3 years while he completed a long standing
restoration on his MGB. Now completed, he drove this lovely old P6 up from
Swansea for the sale.
Finished in blue with cream leather
interior, the car features automatic transmission and original radio while
retaining the original wheel trims and brightwork in super order.
Our
vendor also saw fit to improve the Rover during his ownership fitting a new
brake servo, new rear brake callipers, discs and pads along with removal of the
cylinder head to de-coke and fit new valves and head gasket and inlet manifold
gasket. Furthermore, a full service has been carried out including new plugs,
rear tyres, 4 head lights and new battery although there are only
some supporting invoices; our owner bought them through his busines.
In the boot, there is a selection of spare ignition system parts, brake
master cylinder, four original wheel trims, complete original tool kit and
roll, spare wheel with cover, jack and spider wheel brace.
Within the
history file, we find a note from the vendor on works completed (as above), the
V5C, seven old MOTs dating back to 2003, old style V5 and a selection of
invoices for parts including wing and door trims and other sundry parts. Now MOT
exempt, the last ticket was issued without advisory in August 2017 at 2,903
miles with the car showing just 04161 miles suggesting a total of 104,161 miles
(99,709 miles recorded at MOT in 2012).
Driven some 80 miles to the sale
this attractive, later model 2200SC is ready to be enjoyed this
Spring.
**Bidders please note, car has leaked fluid since
arriving on site which looks like transmission fluid**
