1991 Ford Granada Rosedale Limo
Unusual
7-seater stretched Granada Rosedale showing less than 62,000 miles - be a bit
different on the school run?
Dating from May 1991 this somewhat unusual Ford Granada
Limo has been hidden away in a garage for several years and shows just 61,891
miles. A conversion by CM coachworks and known as a ‘Rosedale’ this once fine
steed was able to carry up to 7 people including driver with two in the front, 2
in the middle row and up to 3 across the rear bench. The partition is electric
with a switch by the rearmost seat and still works with added visibility or
legroom available by folding the middle seat backs flat.
Up front, we
find the 2.9 Cologne V6 engine mated here to 4-speed automatic transmission with
dual heater controls in the cabin and wood effect trim. The bodywork has seen
better days and needs some cosmetic titivation but by no means looks shot (see
images), the wheel trims also look acceptable but have come off a Citroen upon
close inspection.
Within the history file, we find the V5C showing 10
previous owners to the last of 6 years and an old MOT dated October 2015. The
car does boast a fresh MOT running until April 2022 with no advisories recorded,
impressive for a Ford of this era. We did note the mileage is the same on this
MOT as the last recorded in 2015 which suggests the odometer may not be working.
MOT’s prior to that show a steady rise from 52,832 miles in June 2006 to the
61,891 recorded in 2015 suggesting the mileage might be genuine.
Starting promptly and running well as we have moved it around on site,
it will certainly stand out from the crowd on the school run.
