2005 BMW M6 Coupe (E63)
Screaming 5.0 V10
pumping out 500bhp in menacing black throughout; showing 86,994
miles; huge performance on tap
Supplied
new by Wood BMW of Hampshire in November 2005 this epic 501bhp V10 super-coupe
packs the venomous 5.0 V10 S85 series engine mated to 7-speed SMG-III
transmission with flappy paddles driving the rear wheels.
The E63
generation of M6 coupe featured a carbon fibre roof, aluminium bonnet, doors and
thermo plastic boot and front wings for increased weight saving. The car
defaults to normal P400 mode with 400bhp available until the M/Power button is
pressed and the full 500bhp is then available.
Finished in Sapphire black
metallic with black 19inch M6 alloy wheels, black tinted windows and full heated
black Merino leather the car is a desirable package and colour scheme and shows
just 86,994 miles covered.
Inside, we find HUD (heads-up display),
i-Drive with navigation and in car entertainment, parking sensors, cruise
control, on-board computer, automatic adaptive Xenon lights, electric memory
seats with adjustable lumbar and bolsters and multi-function steering
wheel.
The history file includes the V5C showing seven former
keepers to the current, the owner’s pack and service book revealing 10 stamps
+ one hand-written entry, the last in March 2021 at 84,127 miles. Further
more, there are seven old MOTs plus the current valid until February 2022
with two minor advisories recorded for rear brake pad wear and NSR tyre
wear.
In addition, we see a host of invoices for routine maintenance
including new front discs and pads in May 2020 at a cost of £640 at 74,943
miles, new coil spring in December 2018, new thermostat housing and O-rings,
plus other works in 2017 costing £1,390 at 68,541 miles along with a host of
others, a purchase invoice for £20,995 in August 2013 at 46,000 miles and
another in 2014 for £19,200 at 53,447 miles and BMW spec list.
The car
roared to life as we moved it around for these shots and looks ready to be
enjoyed with that screaming high revving V10 engine, there’s much to like. Its
also a rare car, with only 9,087 coupes built worldwide over the 5-year
production cycle.
