1991 Ford Sierra Sapphire (MkII)
Lovely late model two owner (husband and wife) example in sole family ownership from new showing just 49,000 miles - find another?
Supplied new by Target Ford of Gloucester in August 1991 this later model facelifted MKII Ford Sierra GLSi comes to us in desirable Sapphire specification and is finished in Burgundy red and sits upon its original 14inch steel wheels with plastic Ford hubcaps.
Under the bonnet, we find the popular 2.0 litre (1,998cc) fuel injected DOHC four-cylinder petrol engine which develops 123bhp driving the rear wheels via five-speed manual transmission.
Inside the cabin, we find comfortable seating for five adults, light grey cloth seats, electric front windows, glass sunroof, digital clock, original radio/cassette player, heated rear screen, front fog light and manual rear windows.
This rarer booted saloon variant has been in the same family since new and shows just 49,297 miles which is most uncommon to find.
The history file includes the V5C showing just one former keeper to our vendor (wife of former owner), an old V5C in her husband’s name, the owner’s pack and service book with one old stamp dated August 1992 at 1,546 miles by Bristol Street Motors, the original purchase invoice from Target Ford for £11,980 along with a Haynes manual, AA members handbook, some 21 old MOTs and the current, valid until September 2023 with no advisories recorded.
The file also includes a couple of invoices for works undertaken including a recent £830 spend in September 2022 at 49,252 miles for a full service, MOT and replacement OSF strut top mount, exhaust silencer, new brake fluid, new battery and replacement water pump.
Ready to be enjoyed and cherished, for they don’t come along like this very often.
