Description
Interesting earlier 2.8 manual RHD example from 20 year
ownership; in storage for the last 11 years and showing just
33,698Km
Declared manufactured in 1998 and first
registered in January 1999 this pretty first Generation BMW Z3 Roadster is
finished in Arctic Silver with contrasting black Mohair roof and sits upon 17”
five-spoke alloy wheels.
Under the bonnet, we
find the 2.8-litre M52B28 inline six-cylinder petrol engine which develops
189bhp and 275Nm of torque driving the rear wheels here, via five-speed ZF S5-31
manual transmission offering rather brisk performance for such a small,
lightweight package.
Inside, we find black
leather seats with electric adjustment for the base, black carpets, dash and
trim, electric windows, electric mirrors, electric soft-top, digital clock,
traction control, two-stage heated seats, front fog lights and JVC radio/CD
player.
The car shows just 33,698Km (although
RHD with a MPH speedo) and has remained in storage for the last 12 years and has
been with our long term owner since June 2002 and presents
well.
The history file includes the V5C showing
just three former keepers, seven old Mots and the current Mot valid until May
2024 recording no advisories.
The online Mot
history notes the last Mot in 2011 at 31,036Km and the most recent in May 2023
at 20,914 miles which is about right when converted from Km to Miles – however
neither we, or the vendor were able to fathom how to change the display from Km
to miles.
Ready to be enjoyed, the car would no
doubt benefit from a thorough service and check over ahead of enjoying it on the
open roads for what remains of the summer.
