Description
Recently imported from South Africa; now UK registered; interior
kitted out for camping; in need of recommissioning
This forward control 110 IIB was supplied new as a
completely knocked down (CKD) right hand drive vehicle and we assume directly
sent to South Africa in 1971.
Our vendor
registered it in the UK last year after receiving all the appropriate NOVA
paperwork so it is now fully recorded on a V5C as VOD 769J.
Showing 43,970km, we have to assume that it is actually 143,970km.
It is clear from the photographs and from a walk around it here that it has been
heavily used over the years and would need considerable work to be used as a
driving camper again. That said, it is of course a rare machine so would surely
be worth doing.
Equipped with interior
upholstery, fridge, sink, cooker, shelving and sitting/sleeping areas, this
could make an excellent expedition/exploring vehicle once all the relevant TLC
has been taken care of.
Externally, the spare
tyre is to the rear along with the water/jerry can carrier, there is a canopy on
one side and of course the roof bars on top.
A
project but a fun one and something you could have a lot of fun with after
the work has been done.
