Under
70,000 miles showing; large file of history; manual gearbox; recent new cam
belt, water pump and brake overhaul
First registered in March 1988,
this Biturbo appears to have covered only 69,500 miles and is recorded to have
had nine previous keepers. It should be noted though that a new speedo was
fitted in July 1988 at 858 miles.
Supplied
new via Maserati dealers, Kesterlian Sackville Ltd of Manchester,
records show that at 36,000 miles in 2001/02 it had
only had three registered keepers including Kesterlian themselves. It was sold
at this time with a comprehensive detailed service history when it was
registered as B2 WOW. It was inspected in 2002 at 57,605 miles by Autocheck and
described as a ‘good honest old Maser – performed excellently on road test with
all functions working correctly – a well used but cared for
example.’
The accompanying file includes
bundles of MOTs which trace the mileage accurately through the years up until
today, covering very few miles each year. During this period, much of the body
was repainted in 2004, the cam belt was changed in 2008 and again in 2017, the
cloth hood was replaced in 2010, brakes were overhauled, water pump and timing
belt replaced in 2022.
Since 2004, there are
many invoices on file documenting regular maintenance including the above more
major jobs so generally it appears to a be a well-looked-after and relatively
low mileage manual Biturbo. The last MOT expired shortly after the car
arrived on site a couple of months ago (19/10/2023) so bidders are advised to
refer to the MOT database online, which shows a few minor advisories
relating to brake pipes and wheel bearings.
