Description
Classic 3.5 EFi example that's seen much recent
expenditure following 17 years in storage; long MOT
Dating from April 1989 this chunky-looking Range Rover Classic
comes to us in Vogue SE spec and is finished in dark green with colour-coded 16”
three-spoke alloy wheels, a sober look that suits it well.
Under the bonnet, we find the 3.5 litre fuel injected (EFi) Rover
V8, good for 165Bhp when new and 279NM of torque driving all-four wheels via
four-speed automatic transmission.
Inside, we
find a light brown leather interior with electric adjustment for the front
seats, electric windows, electric mirrors, sunroof, arm rests, wood trim, heated
rear screen and acres of comfortable space.
The
truck shows 128,871 miles and presents largely well. Although undocumented, the
vendor tells us it has recently had a rear cross member and body mounts, 2x
boot floor cross members, N/S and O/S floor side panels, inner sill body
mount kit, N/S and O/S inner wings, a full service including the axles,
front axle drive seals and grease, a chassis clean and paint. He also tells us
the corrosion highlighted on the last MOT has been attended
to.
Starting promptly with a prod of the
throttle to engage the cold-start, the truck moved around as it should on site,
getting better and better as it warmed up.
The
history file includes only the V5C at the time of writing but it does
have a current MOT valid until September 2024 recording just one
advisory. The MOT history online
suggests the vehicle was off the road from 2006 until
2023.
Ready to be enjoyed as it is, it offers a
solid looking base for further improvement shoud the new owner feel so
inclined.
