Description
A sound and well-prepared car to Group N Spec; relatively light use as
a rally car; fighting fit and raring to go
This 1989 Integrale
8-valve has had five previous keepers, the vendor being two of these, having
owned it twice over a period of years. He acquired it first time round in 2002
and then again in 2015.
It was prepared for the 1989 Hong Kong to Peking
Rally - so it has effectively been a rally car all of its life. It was
built to comply with the Group N regulations, yet retains its central locking
and electric windows so it is perfectly usable everyday.
Its 2015 MSA
Competition Log Book shows a 34mm Turbo restrictor fitted, which allows
compliance, but this could be easily removed and the car chipped to 300bhp+ for
some real fireworks.
A list of the rally extras fitted accompanies the
car, which includes four Bilstein 'off road' shock absorbers - which back in the
day cost £2,100!. It has springs to match, a competition clutch assembly, roll
cage, four OZ 'off road' competition alloys, Momo suede steering wheel,
high-output alternator to run the extensive auxiliary lighting. It has sump and
diff guards and a competition head gasket, head bolts, short exit exhaust and
other useful rally kit.
It passed its MOT on the way to the auction with
flying colours and although has some competition scrutineering stickers, was
well prepared and has been lightly used and well cared for....plenty of
entertainment still to come.
One of the most iconic and effective rally
cars of the period, this genuine Integrale won't break the bank and looks,
sounds and acts the part...
