Description
Exceptionally clean and tidy Defender 110 High Capacity Pickup; 2.2
turbodiesel; 6-speed manual; only 60,900 miles indicated; power winch; snorkel;
ready for work or play
First
registered in November 2011, this fine-looking Defender 110 High Capacity Pickup
is a relatively rare Land Rover variant. It is powered by the clean and
efficient Ford Duratorq 2.2 turbodiesel engine (as fitted to the Jaguar X-Type,
Ford Mondeo and Ford Transit) allied to six-speed manual transmission with hi-lo
transfer case and diff lock for enhanced off-road ability.
Finished in blue with a grey cloth interior, it comes with various
useful extras. These include a Superwinch X9 power winch at the front; heavy
duty front bull bars; fixed steps below the doors to aid entry and exit; chequer
plates on the front wing-tops; rear towbar with an electrical socket; rear
mudflaps plus a snorkel for deep water fording.
It has had four owners from new and has been in the current
ownership since 2020. It shows a modest 60,900 miles on the clock which can’t be
warranted as there is sadly no service history, but it is backed up by the MOT
history online and is certainly plausible given the overall condition of the
vehicle.
The only documents are a V5C, two old
MOTs and a current MOT valid until 20th June 2024 with just a couple
of advisories relating to the tyres. An online check of the MOT history shows
that it has barely ever had any advisories so it has presumably been
well-looked-after. Indeed the overall condition of the vehicle would suggest
that it has led a sheltered life to date, with very few signs of wear, even in
the rear load area which has been protected by a special coating to shield the
paintwork beneath.
Driven
some 80 miles to the sale, it has been starting promptly and running beautifully
as we have moved it around on site.
