Description
Use and improve; new hood; running and driving on
site
Sweet 1967 Austin-Healey Sprite MkIV, fitted with the 1,275cc
A-series engine producing 65 horsepower and 98ft/lb of torque to the rear wheels
via a 4-speed manual transmission.
Our vendor used this car regularly
last summer after it had been sitting in storage for 12 years. We are told a new
Heritage Shell was fitted in 2008, unfortunately we do not have any proof of
this.
At some point in the past telescopic suspension was added to
replace the standard suspension at the rear, a new hood was also fitted and
looks to be in good condition.
The bodywork looks to be fairly solid with
some rust poking through in places. The paintwork unfortunately has not held up
well as can be seen in the photos.
Showing 44,887 miles on the
clock, this sweet Sprite has been starting promptly and driving around on site
and could be a great way into classic car ownership for the project-loving
petrolhead.
