Description
RESERVE REDUCED; Ground-up restoration and fewer than
600 miles since; 2,138cc engine; overdrive gearbox; very clean inside and
out...and underneath
This lovely TR3A was the subject of a nut-and-bolt
restoration in 2008 to exacting standards, having been purchased some 18
years earlier as a running project.
Every bit as good underneath as she is on top with a clean
and immaculate painted chassis, it has clearly covered just nominal
mileage since the restoration - some 564 miles if the odometer is to be
believed, having been reset and showing just 5 miles at the time of its MOT in
June 2008.
Running a more powerful 2,138cc engine (rather than
the ususal 1,991cc) coupled to an overdrive gearbox, this bright red bombshell
has excellent panel fit, as new interior,
chrome wire wheels shod with quality rubber and a hood and side screens in
excellent order.
It wants for nothing and in recent times has seen a new overdrive solenoid and
aluminium fuel tank added.
Its sparkling condition is no doubt due
to its time in dry State America, the car arriving on these shores from
Texas in 1990 for subsequent conversion to RHD.
