Jaguar X-Type 3.0 Sovereign Estate
AWD
Highly desirable all-wheel drive with 3.0 V6 power with
automatic 'box showing just 76,302 miles with high
specification
Supplied new in October 2007 this
pre-facelift Sovereign spec X400 series X-Type comes to us in desirable estate
form and features the surprisingly potent 228bhp 3.0 litre petrol V6 engine
developing a useful 279NM of torque driving all-four wheels (AWD) via 5-speed
automatic transmission.
Finished in titanium
grey, the car looks well sitting on its original 17inch split-5-spoke alloy
wheels and useful roof rails.
Inside, we find full anthracite leather piped grey with electric seat
adjustment and driver memory, two-stage heated seats, cruise control, traction
control, touch screen in-car entertainment with sat-nav, trip computer and
digital climate control with A/C.
The estate version also features a large load area with fold flat rear
seats, retractable luggage cover and dog net too with split opening boot
option.
Showing just 76,302 miles covered by
just four owners, the car has been a local car for the last few years and looks
to have worn its 14 years well with but a few minor marks commensurate with its
age and mileage as pictured.
Within the history
file, we find the V5C, 2 keys, owner’s pack and service book (replacement)
showing 7 stamps, the first in November ’08 at 10,101 miles by Peter Vardy
Jaguar and the most recent in October 2018 at 61,070 miles. The current MOT is valid until October
2021 with no advisories recorded.
Starting and
running well as we moved it around for these images (we were grateful for the
ice-cold air conditioning in the 30 degree heat) the car looked and sounded
well, the rorty V6 engine note giving a subtle hint to the performance
available. These X-Type 30 V6 AWD estates have a cult following given their
enviable traction, power, space and luxury in the pretty Ian Callum-styled
body.
