1987 Jaguar XJ-SC 3.6

Eye-catching 3.6 litre XJ-SC with removable Targa panels; later XJR-alloy wheels; classic colours; rear seats and showing just 79,809 miles

Dating from July 1987 this appealing XJ-SC is finished in two-tone black grey and features the useful lift-out Targa roof panels from the fixed profile black Mohair roof with rear seats fitted.

The car sits upon a set of more modern XJR 18” alloy wheels which set the car off nicely. Under the bonnet, we find the 3.6 litre AJ6 straight-six cylinder engine driving the rear wheels via optional four-speed automatic transmission (manual transmission was standard, four-speed auto was optional from 1987+).

Inside, we find grey leather/vinyl trim with wood dash, electric windows, trip computer and original radio cassette player.

The car shows just 79,809 miles which can't be warranted as we do not have any history for the car bar the V5C which records five former keepers.  An online MOT check shows the car has a current MOT valid until April 2023 recording two advisories for ‘o/s/f steering rack gaiter damaged or deteriorated but preventing the ingress of dirt’ and a worn tyre.  The online MOT history only dates back to 2019 so we are unable to comment further on its mileage.

The car looks well bar some typical, minor paint imperfections (as pictured) and with some fettling would no doubt make a smart example of this rare XJS variant.
