Description
Striking V12 Coupe in an appealing colour combination; useful
restorative works undertaken through 2017 from 11 year
ownership
Dating from MY 1984 this pretty Jaguar
XJ-S comes to us in V12 Coupe form and is finished in a charming shade of Green
and sits on its original 15” five-spoke convex alloy wheels looking very period
and attractive with its twin U.S style headlights.
Under the bonnet, we find the familiar 5.3-litre V12 engine
delivering 272bhp (when new) with drive going to the rear wheels via three-speed
automatic transmission.
Inside, we find beige
leather/vinyl trim with wood veneer, electric windows, cruise control, trip
computer, original Clarion Jaguar ETR sound system and heated rear
screen.
The car shows 113,729 miles and
presents well having been the subject of restorative works through 2017
including a re-paint, while the interior remains largely original and in good
order although the recently installed head-lining shows some signs of sag
unfortunately already.
The history file
includes the V5C recording 10 former keepers to our vendor who has enjoyed the
car for the last 11 years, three old Mots, the current Mot valid until June 2024
recording seven minor advisories (enter the reg at www.check-mot.service.gov.uk) and a
selection of bills for works undertaken including a lube service and rear brake
pad set in June 2022, a £1,436 spend in August 2020 on welding works to the
subframe, suspension bush renewal, fitment of new alternator, a ball joint and
service.
The vendor also reports that other
works not specifically detailed on the restoration invoices £768, £648 and
£1,800 in 2017 included new shocks, battery plates and repairs to the NS front
sill, NSF wing, OSF wing, NSR wing, both door skins, the boot and also bonnet
thus the car was re-painted afterwards with a few supporting photos also on
file.
A presentable V12 example that’s crying
out for some regular use with a new owner.
