Description
Recent expenditure including head gasket, radiator and brake overhaul;
ideal use and improve example; hard top included
First registered in
November 1967, this late-model Series V comes with the 1,725cc engine and more
modest tail fins. This example also comes with a factory hard
top...
Owned by the vendor for the last couple of years, he has spend
freely on getting it ready for the road. This has included fitting a replacement
engine (with new head gasket), a job which allowed some chassis repairs during
the swop. A recored Alpine radiator from Sunbeam Spares (£389) has been added
along with a new exhaust system and a 'recycled' steering box and inlet manifold
from the same source.
Further bills from Get Smart Classics for a brake
overhaul and labour total £1,200 and the underside, floor and boot area have
been stripped and painted with red oxide paint and are ready for final
treatment.
The car is fitted with a factory hard top and overdrive
as well as a set of period alloy wheels. There is plenty still to improve upon
as can be seen in the pictures, but it is running and driving, tax and MOT
exempt and looks like the ideal use and improve project.
