1981 Jaguar XJ6 4.2

No Reserve

Owned since 2011 within a private collection; only four recorded previous keepers; last MOTd in 2013; used sparingly before storage; still showing under 79,000 miles

This XJ6 has had few owners since being registered in 1981 and was originally supplied by James Windsor & Son in Nottingham. Sold new to a local lady owner, it first changed hands in 1985 remaining in Nottingham and then passed through three further keepers before our vendor purchased it in 2011. Photocopies within the file document this history.

It has been part of a large private collection for many years and although was initially often used as a daily runabout, it has not been through an MOT since 2013. The paperwork records most MOTs going all the way back to 1986 where the mileage was stated as 49,000 miles. Stored inside during this time, there are a few rust spots as you would expect on a Jaguar of this age but the interior is pretty impressive, even more so when you see the delicious rouge velour upholstery. Still showing under 80,000 miles, it will need some light re-commissioning before use, but it serves as a basis to build and improve for potentially those long road trips across Europe. Offered here at no reserve, the highest bidder will take her home, so it is definitely an opportunity not to be missed. For further information - [email protected]
