Brightwells are hosting the Postcards From Life Timed Auction of 266 beautifully crafted lots for St Michael's Hospice. This auction does not only include some wonderful work, but will also help raise vital funds for the end-of-life care provided at St Michael’s Hospice.

BUY YOUR FAVOURITES
The artwork can be bought by bidding on this page. You will need to register, click on the artwork you like and put in your bid. There is no deposit to place, Brightwells are not charging any fees on the lots and there is no VAT added to the sale price. NB artwork comes double-mounted, with a backboard that can be used when framing; and wrapped in cellophane. Artwork has NOT been framed this year.

TIPS ON HOW TO BID
All lots have a starting bid. When bidding, there is an increment table that the system follows, similar to other bidding platforms. For example: £2 increment up to £50; £5 increment up to £100; £10 increment up to £200; £20 increment up to £500; £25 increment up to £1000. A word to the wise – don’t wait until the last minute to bid, put your highest bid in as early as possible. You may pay less than your bid if you win. When you win an auction you always actually pay only a small amount more than the next highest bid—even if your bid was much higher.

ARTWORK YOU HAVE WON
Bidding finishes on Sunday 6th November, starting at 4pm; each lot finishes 1 minute apart.

Invoices will be emailed on Monday 7th November, after the conclusion of the auction and the administration of the end of sale. Invoices will be sent by Brightwells, but you must pay the Hospice directly (details below). If your bid wins, you must buy. Your bid on an auction is a legally binding contract. If, when time runs out, your bid is the highest, you have purchased the item and must pay for it.

Artwork can be collected or posted out using ‘signed for’ postage. Please ring Gaynor on 01432 852630 from TUESDAY 8TH NOVEMBER ONWARDS to pay by card and to arrange either a collection appointment or postage. Postage costs are £5 for one or two pieces, £6 for three or four pieces, sent within the UK. For larger quantities or international postage, please enquire during the call.
