Dating from Yr.2000 this rather cool looking 3rd
Generation Subaru Legacy GTB E-Tune was imported and registered in the UK in
April 2012 and is finished in (86F)
Steel Blue/Grey Metallic and sits on lowered adjustable BC suspension and wears
its original 17” alloy wheels that were re-finished in a Chrysler Light Almond
Grey Pearl.
Under the bonnet of this Legacy GT
we find the 2.0 litre EJ206 flat-four Boxer engine with twin sequential IHI
Turbos and air to air intercooler.
This means the primary turbo comes in first, with the second kicking in
at 4000-4500rpm giving a power output for this GT variant of 265Bhp and around
320NM of torque. Drive is to all
four-wheels in the typical Subaru fashion via four-speed automatic/tiptronic
transmission (the auto GT produces 265bhp and the manual
276bhp).
As an GTB E-Tune spec model (confirmed
by a Subaru Vin de-coder), it will have come with a stiffer chassis, Bilstein
struts (when new), bigger brakes and wheels as well as longer gearing giving
improved economy.
This example looks like it’s
had some light modifications with a larger Hayward and Scott big bore back box
for a freer flowing exit and improved sound along with a retro-fit ‘Fatt DC’
turbo timer which is always good news.
Inside,
we find supportive part leatherette, Alcantara and cloth sports seats with
manual adjustment, MOMO steering wheel with tiptronic gear shift buttons, front
fog lights, digital climate control with AC, Alpine in-car entertainment with
radio/CD and Bluetooth, electric sunroof, electric windows and electric
mirrors.
The car largely presents well, looking
rather mean and squat on its lowered (adjustable) BC Racing suspension,
after-market wind deflectors (one is missing on one side) to the side and bonnet
edge, tinted windows and exhaust burble.
There are some areas that require some cosmetic attention, most notably
to the roof as pictured, a couple of other bits and a crack to the rear light
bar as shown.
The car shows 129,200 which is
likely to be a mix of KM from its time in Japan to import when it was likely
converted to Mph. The history file
includes the Owner's pack and English manual, the V5C revealing just two former
UK owners to our vendor who has enjoyed it sparingly since 2018, but covered
just a handful of miles since the last MOT in 2020 due to working abroad, four
old MOTs and a file of bills.
Bills of note
are referenced in some useful notes provided by the vendor which include a
timing belt service in March 2014, auto transmission fluid change and diff oils
replaced in June 2014, the head lamps professionally restored in July 2017,
another automatic transmission fluid change in Sept 2017. Brembo pads fitted Oct
2017, new MAF and O2 sensor fitted Jan 2018.
More recently, a new alternator and BC coil overs were fitted in
2018, a service and other parts fitted in 2019, new rear calliper, discs and
pads in 2020. The vendor also advises in these notes the fuel gauge is not
working which is worth baring in mind if you intend to drive it
home.
The last MOT expired in September 2021
and recorded six minor advisories, mainly relating to brake discs being worn,
but not excessively.
