Dating from October
1992, this rather smart looking Porsche 968 Coupe is finished in Dark Blue with
colour coded rear bridge spoiler and sits upon its period correct, original 16”
five-spoke alloy wheels over black painted Porsche branded brake
callipers.
Under the bonnet, we find the
naturally aspirated 3.0-litre M44/12 four-cylinder petrol engine good for 237bhp
and 305NM of torque driving the rear wheels here via four-speed
automatic/tiptronic transmission with steering wheel mounted
controls.
Inside, we find grey deeply bolstered
leather Sports seats with four-way electric adjustment, electric windows,
electric (lift-out) tilt sunroof, electric mirrors, chunky three-spoke steering
wheel in matching grey leather, external temperature gauge, analogue clock,
heated rear screen and Pioneer stereo.
The 968
shows 117,783 miles which is low for one of these super usable and capable
Coupes, and has been enjoyed by our lady owner and vendor since purchase in
November 2018 and presents beautifully, including under the bonnet which is most
impressive.
The history file is considerable
and includes the V5C recording seven former owners, three old V5C’s, the current
clean Mot valid until August 2024 which shows limited usage of just c.1,000
miles per annum over the last few years, original 968 sales brochure, at least
11 old Mots and a heap of bills for parts and maintenance dating back to the mid
90s plus a 190 point Porsche report by well regarded Peter Morgan in
2009.
Bills of note include a timing belt
change in 2009 at 107,210 miles plus a host of other works by JAZ Porsche
specialists at a cost of some £5,187, replacement windscreen in December 2009, a
£2056 bill to A1 Gearboxes (text on bill illegible), another timing belt service
(inc. balance belt, water pump and thermostat in 2015 at 113,533 miles and new
sunroof seal in 2016.
More recent work includes
another service in 2017 at 113,657 miles, new rear spoiler in July 2023, repair
to the heater control in 2018 and new oil cooler seals and gaskets in
2021.
Ready to be enjoyed, this looks like a
super example that’s had money lavished upon it in a super colour
combination.
