REDUCED RESERVE; Sensible 2-litre Renault Avantime
Dynamique; lots of miles but ex-James May from The Grand Tour we believe; fun
history; fun car
Lots to like about this 184,000 miles Renault
Avantime. A picture on file shows James May driving it during filming of The
Grand Tour, an large in-car camera mounted to the passenger A-post explaining
why the trim is loose in this area.
It has been running and driving
nicely since arrival onsite, a bill from 2021, about 1,000 miles ago detailing
work to the gearbox, new clutch, drive shaft kit and a new battery, along with a
new ABS sensor to fix a fault.
The quirky styling of the Renault Avantime
has much appeal, including the clever double hinges for the front doors which
are worth the price of the car on their own and the one-touch button to open the
moon roof and side windows. These side windows have no B-post so it is open from
front to back.
It is MOTd until August this year which showed no
advisories, this Renault Avantimer having covered just 500 miles
since.
