Description
Recently recommissioned; driven 40 miles to the auction and used
on a weekly basis; few owners; recent new exhaust; later seats; use and
improve
Dating from 1971 but first UK registered in
December 1981 (hence the X plate), this Morris Minor Traveller comes with a
V5C which states five former keepers and has various invoices for new parts
recently fitted.
Our vendor acquired the car as a
classic runabout and has been using it regularly. It has certainly been starting
instantly and running sweetly as we have moved it around on site, with very
healthy oil pressure on one of the after-market gauges fitted. Recent work
includes new brake cylinders all round, brake and handbrake hoses. The fuel pump
has been replaced along with new ball joints and some later front seats and
seatbelts.
Recently repainted in matt
black, it is eminently usable as it is and the exhaust system looks
relatively new. It is on offer here at a modest guide price and could be
smartened up over time as desired.
Cheap to
run and fun to drive, these Travellers are extremely practical classics with a
very generous load area, especially with the rear seats folded
down.
