Description
From a deceased estate; only 48,124 miles; five services; 235bhp V6
turbo-diesel; 7-speed auto; attractive colour scheme; advisory-free MOT; very
smart indeed and drives beautifully
The Mercedes
S-Class is among the world's most revered luxury cars. Only a Rolls-Royce or
Bentley can trump it for reputation and cars with those badges cost vastly more
to own.
The W221-Series 3.0 V6 24v turbo-diesel
S350 CDI came out in 2010 to replace the S320 with more power (235bhp and
398lb/ft), improved fuel economy (40mpg average) and lower road tax (£430 p/a).
Driving through a 7-speed automatic gearbox it could sprint to 60mph in 7.8
seconds with a top speed limited to 155mph and was packed full of luxuries and
high-tech driver aids.
“Supreme ride comfort
from the adaptive air suspension; excellent build quality; strong diesel engine;
unfathomably comfortable; unfathomably affordable when used” is how What
Car? sums it up.
