Full renovation carried out in the early 2000s; original number plate
sourced and returned to the car; lots of history and receipts
Meet
this little Frogeye Sprite, lovingly known as “Grace”, she was first registered
in March 1959 as shown on the Heritage certificate (supplied with the car). A
lovely example throughout, although we don’t have very much history on the car
up until early 2000s.
Grace underwent a full restoration then (receipts
and document photos showing some of the work that was undertaken) taking a
number of years to complete, ensuring that all the original features remained
including a steel bonnet
The owner spent quite a lot of time and effort
to track down the original registration number, 7 UME, which has now been
reunited with the car.
In March 2012, Grace was finally put back on the
road being enjoyed from then on, being regularly maintained as the years went
on. More recently in August of this year she benefited from a brake overhaul
ready for Grace’ s new owner.
This lovely little Sprite has started and
driven as it should while being on site for the photos and a video. Also was
driven here over 25 miles without a hiccup apparently.
