Excellent trialling opportunity; strong Model A; runs, drives and
ready for the VSCC scrutineers
First registered with the DVLA
on 23 March 1990, this right hand drive 3.3 litre Model A Ford appears to have
been initially manufactured in 1929.
Presented in cream and black
with red upholstery and new carpets, there is a handy hood and tonneau also
fitted
Over the last ten years and
more recently there has been significant expenditure making it ideal to take
part in further VSCC trials, having been campaigned already in 2022 by the
previous owner, who first acquired the Phaeton in
2011.
Considerable expenditure over
the years on file shows invoices keeping the car up to scratch from O'Neill
Vintage Ford of Coalville, Leicestershire, Heritage Motorsport of Wootton
Underwood, Buckinghamshire, Belcher Engineering of Diss, Norfolk and Bentley
Gearbox Services of Barnsley.
This included new carpets,
complete rewiring, new starter motor, high compression cylinder head and gasket,
new pistons, fresh con-rods, new valves and tappet set, shock absorber service,
rear axle rebuilt with new half shafts and a fresh set of 19in Lucas
Tyres.
More recently in 2023, vintage
specialist Brewster Mudie Ltd have strengthened the chassis with some welding,
followed by stripping down of the carburetor and correctly adjusting the
jets.
Running and driving for
photographs and videos while with us, this Model A seems ready for
action.
