1956 Velocette LE
Rebuilt
engine; powder-coated chassis; new wheel rims and tyres; 'on the
handle'
Purchased and restored by its previous owner, this fine LE
was reregistered in July 2012 just before it came into the hands of the new
owner. A barn-find, it had been stripped and the frame powder coated. The wheel
rims had been replaced and it came with fresh tyres.
An LE Velo club
dating certificate indicates that it was sold on 30th March 1956 to a Mr Kuwsk
through Wyverns of Weston Super Mare. He paid extra for the two-tone paintwork
in blue over grey.
Since purchase, our vendor has rebuilt the
engine, bored to +020" with new pistons, big end bearings, seals etc and new
clutch plates. It has also be rewired with a modern voltage regulator/
rectifier.
In super condition throughout, if you have ever fancied trying
one of these charismatic, over-engineered machines, this would be a very good
place to start.

- Put in your highest bid you would be prepared to go to.
- Bidding at the last moment may leave you disappointed. Any earlier bid is always taken first, so doing this may only push someone else up and prevent you from becoming the highest bidder.
- No bids can be placed once the time remaining ends, therefore do not delay.
