1996 Ford Fiesta MkIII pick-up
Unusual
conversion from 3-door panel van to pick-up with 1.8 diesel power - stand out
from the crowd
Dating from May 1996 this late model MkIII Fiesta was
originally a 3-door panel van commercial with the 1.8 naturally aspirated diesel
engine driving the front wheels via 5-speed manual transmission.
This
example has evidently been converted at some point to become a pick-up of sorts,
with aluminium checker plate hinged lid for access with no drop down tail.
Finished in white with blue RS stickers the Fiesta has undergone two colour
changes in its varied life from original silver to blue in 2011 then blue to the
white we see in September 2015.  Wearing 4-spoke Ford alloy wheels, it also
has both forward and rear facing spot lights controlled by two switches above
the left leg of the driver. Inside we find a couple of sporty seats and solid
rear bulkhead.
In the history file we see the V5C showing 11 former
keepers to our vendor, a Ford marque enthusiast and collector  who has been
the custodian since December 2015, 4 old MOTs, an invoice dated July 2018
for £296 spent on new coolant, new LED strobe lights, new rocker cover gasket,
new alternator belt, and wiring repair at 63,829 miles and bill for a lube
service in January 2016.  Coming with a current MOT valid until January
2022 with two advisories for corrosion to a suspension mounting OSF and play in
a wheel bearing it is ready to be put to work or play.
