Tykhøjetvej, Give, Denmark to our sole owner on 23rd March 2001
whilst he was working there as a UK spec RHD model the car was registered a
month later in the UK on 1st April 2001 and has covered a staggering
2,150 miles from new only.
Professionally stored for many years the car
still maintains that ‘new car smell’ and feel, the paint gleams, the tyres
shine, the interior is still supple and unmarked with the carpets still covered
in their original plastic.
If you wished you could have bought a new W30
series MR2 MkIII in the early Noughties and didn’t, here is your chance to buy
what is most likely the lowest mileage, and most ‘as new’ example left in the
country.
Finished in Raven black and powered by Toyota’s excellent
1ZZ-FED 16-valve DOHC 1.8 litre four-cylinder engine which develops 138bhp,
enough to give it zingy performance in its lightweight 2-seater open top body
with simple to operate manual vinyl soft top. Inside, we find a simple and well
executed interior with anthracite leather seats, manual ‘box, CD and tape player
units and other easy to use instrumentation ensuring the focus is on driving and
having fun.
Pulled out of storage and lightly recommissioned in late 2020
and ready for use, the car has been treated to a new battery, oil change and MOT
without advisory valid until December 2021 showing only 8 miles covered since
this test. Also within the history file is the V5C, a letter from the owner’s
daughter confirming the car saw very little use as a result of the owner sadly
suffering a stroke, confirmation of the VAT payment on registration in the UK,
original International motor insurance card for driving in Denmark when it was
new, CoC document, original Danish purchase receipt, SORN notifications,
original sales brochures and 2 owner’s packs with warranty booklets,
owners-manual and Danish service book.
