1997 TVR Chimaera 400

In current 14 year ownership; 76,000 miles; comprehensive history with only two previous keepers recorded; outriggers replaced in 2011; appropriate number plate too

This Chimaera 400 was first registered to TVR in Blackpool on P145 BCW. Used as a courtesy car for many years, it was sold to the first private owner in 2004, when it was transfered to its current registration, P400 WLR. The new owner continued to use TVR Power for servicing, the car entering our vendor's hands in 2007.

An accomplished and competent professional mechanic, he has recorded everything he has done to the car over the last 14 years. This is noted and invoiced within the file of paperwork. All completed at the garage he works at, local to Brightwells.

The record in the file lists and notes each service he has given it, which has included annual inspections and replacements of filters, changes of oil, new plugs, bushes, bearings and fluids. In 2011, the outriggers were replaced with a front end respray (£3,000) and all fuel pipes replaced. 2012 saw the arrival of a new radiator from Classic World Racing Ltd (£400), followed by new starter motor and speedo repair in 2013. Replacements of filters and fluids continued each year with the addition of a new thermostat in 2016, track rod ends in 2019 and finally the most recent check up in March this year.

During this time, the owner has only averaged 700 miles a year. Apparently, it has never seen rain while he has owned it, which we are sure is true, bearing in mind he delayed the 12 mile drive to us by one day, because there might have been a shower!

Of course this Starmist metallic blue TVR shows a little wear here and there, as any 24 year old car would, including a minor nick to the passenger side of the windscreen, but overall, it is a very well cared for example and it shows.
