1973 MGB Roadster
Nicely prepared car restored
in 2011; overdrive; wire wheels; Ivor Searle engine
Acquired by the
vendor earlier in the year, the car proved an excellent buy until a knee and hip
operation put paid to enjoying low-slung open-top motoring....
The
condition of the car speaks for itself, with excellent paintwork, panel fit,
interior and overall presentation. It sits on wire wheels and has an overdrive,
ticking all of the MGB boxes.
In 2011 it was involved in a prang, with
damage to the front wing and door. Given its condition at the time, it was an
uneconomical repair and recorded as a Category C on the register, but the car
was salvaged and treated to a proper restoration - hence the condition we
see it in today. Its last MOT expired in 2019 with no advisories.
It
looks to have had an Ivor Searle exchange engine in 2018 and notes on file
talk of an unleaded head conversion and stainless exhaust. It also has front
plastic inner wing protectors which are a great idea on these cars. It has
been performing just as a nicely prepared MGB should since arrival.
This
is a well-restored example which is ready for immediate use.
