Lot Ended
Description
In the same family for over 15 years; complete with original
build sheets; later series two with more powerful engine; showing under 100,000
miles
Presented in Nutmeg bronze with chocolate leather with cream
piping. Dealer history, electric seats, electric roof and
windows, power assisted steering, central locking, air-conditioning,
cruise control, stereo system, all to complement the over rugs, hood cover
and alloy wheels with white wall tyres.
This vehicle was ordered on the 20th June 1976 to the
exact specification of the first owner from Jack
Barclay Ltd, London and was enjoyed by the same owner for over 28
years.
Currently there have been six owners so far, but the
current owner only transferred the car into her name from her partner in
December 2024. He had owned the car for over 15 years. The current
mileage is 98,377, which seems to be correct looking at the DVLA MOT
history check and the documents that accompany the sale.
The vehicle is running and driving, but because the car has been
stood for a length of time, one of the brake calipers seems to stick when it
gets warm, although there are documents showing a full brake overhaul was
carried out in July 2013.
The leather interior is in good order and the over rugs have still
retained their soft feel, but the woodwork on the facia would benefit from a
refurbishment due to slight discolouring.
The bodywork is respectable for the age but again would benefit from
a refresh.
This is the later series two example and has the factory option of
the more powerful Solex carburetor, allowing unleaded fuel to be used. Although
the handbooks are present and complete, the service book has not been stamped,
but in the large amount of history that comes with the car we can see the car
has been maintained with a service carried out in September of
2024.
Included in the sale are a copy of the Rolls Royce build sheets
showing the manufacture process and signatures of the people involved in the
cars build. Lots of receipts are also on file, showing work carried out, along
with some wiring diagrams and other relating items.
