Description
Good
usable TR7 Convertible; 29,000 miles believed genuine; some choice upgrades
fitted inc Rimmer Bros 4-pot brakes; Koni dampers and stainless
exhaust
Dating from June 1980 this later model
Triumph TR7 comes to us in Roadster form and is finished in light green with
black vinyl hood and sits upon a set of period 13” Compomotive four-stud X-spoke
alloy wheels.
Under the bonnet, we find the typical 1,998cc four-cylinder
engine similar to that found in the Dolomite but enlarged to 2.0 and fitted with
larger carbs to give 105bhp and 161NM of torque with drive going to the rear
wheels via five-speed manual transmission.
Inside, we find a blue vinyl
interior with checker sections, electric windows, Kenlow fan switch and
additional oil pressure gauge.
The car shows 29,000 miles which we
believe to be genuine and generally looks well bar a few signs of age/wear
to the vinyl roof and minor marks to the body as pictured but started and ran as
it should as we moved it around for these images and video.
The history
file also includes a copy old V5C, seven old MOTs, a bill for an annual service
inc. spark plugs in August 2021 at 28,892 miles and a note from the
previous vendor's father (one of the former keepers) detailing
the upgraded parts fitted to the car including Rimmer Bros. stainless steel
sports exhaust and manifold, Rimmer Bros 4pot uprated brakes, Koni dampers
and firmer springs, Kenlow fan, electronic ignition, Halogen headlights and roll
over bar.
