Fully
restored around a rust-free Japanese body shell about 10 years ago and only
1,000 miles since; vast history file; super condition; advisory-free MOT; new
wheels and tyres; come and see it!
Supplied new by TriStar Motor
Group of Croydon in December 1992, this Rover Mini Cooper 1.3i comes with two
vast files of history which will keep the next owner happily engrossed for
hours.
To cut a long story short, it has covered 94,130 miles but
between 2012 and 2019 it was owned by a British Mini Club member who completely
restored the car around an excellent, rust-free body shell which was sourced
from Japan. It was then carefully rebuilt with many new parts fitted, all
exhaustively detailed in copious notes and many invoices on file.
This
included a reconditioned gearbox and a new clutch. The engine was stripped and
inspected and found to be in good condition with good compressions. The only
deviation from standard was a new stainless steel exhaust system, notes stating
that the whole project cost around £16,000.
It has an MOT until July 2026
with no advisories recorded plus no fewer than 23 old MOTs back to 1997 to
warrant the mileage. There are also records of all 11 previous owners plus many
invoices, old tax discs, a vast amount of technical literature, British Mini
Club literature, an agreed insurance valuation of £13,000 in 2016, all the
original handbooks and two sets of keys.
Since the restoration was
completed this Mini Cooper has only covered around 1,000 miles and, as you can
see in the photos, it looks very smart indeed, both above and below.
Recently fitted with a new set of alloy wheels shod with new Yokohama
A539 tyres and new brakes all round, it has been running beautifully on site and
is ready for a new owner to enjoy.
