Description
Rare Targa T Top model; very large history file; current keeper
has owned the car for the last 38 years; superb sounding V12 engine; showing
only just over 80,000 miles
The
Jaguar XJS V12 Targa is a
rare variant, featuring a Targa top with removable roof
panels. It's known for its grand-tourer appeal and
powerful V12 engine. The XJS-C, as it's sometimes designated, was
primarily produced for the US market, making this a good opportunity to own and
drive a very rare Jaguar.
Purchased from Barretts of Canterbury Ltd in September 1985, this car
has only had 4 owners from new, with the latest keeper owning the car for over
38 years.
In the time the current owner has had the car he has put together a
very large and detailed history file, which includes the service book with
11 stamps, up until August 1997 at 63,230. The current mileage is only
80,314, meaning this car has covered less than 17,000 in the last 28
years.
The car starts and drives as it should while we filmed and
photographed it, with the lovely sound of the V12 5.4 litre engine.
