Microlight with Fuji Robin EC34PM Engine – Bench Tested and
Running
For sale is a complete microlight with wing. Photos were
taken before it was packed away. The engine has been recently run (video
available) and everything appears to be in good working order.
The
powerplant is a Fuji Robin EC34PM: a fan-cooled, 340cc two-stroke engine
originally used in classic Polaris snowmobiles such as the TX 340 and Colt SS.
It also saw service in a number of early microlight and ultralight aircraft,
including prototypes like the Whittaker MW5. Because of this, parts and
information are still widely available—ideal for anyone interested in vintage
aviation projects.
The aircraft is fitted with a wooden propeller and a
three-belt pulley drive system with shaft and bearing assembly. The fuel tank
has been safely drained to prevent accidental starting. It runs cleanly and
sounds healthy, with foot throttle and foot steering controls.
The wing
is included and was in good condition when last flown. Overall, this is a solid
vintage microlight setup with a well-known, reliable engine. It ran smoothly on
the day it was brought in, prior to fuel being drained, making it a great option
for collectors, restorers, or aviation enthusiasts looking for a lightweight
project.
We strongly advise that you get an air worthiness check done
before a maiden flight takes place.
