Winter
project Honda DAX; only 10,998 miles; perfect addition to any
campervan.
The ST50 was part of Honda’s ST-series, known as the Dax
in Europe and Japan. Its quirky styling, low seat height, and ease of use made
it a hit with young riders and city commuters. The 1971 model retained the
original charm of the 1969 debut, with minimal changes and a focus on
reliability and simplicity.
Its foldable handlebars and compact
dimensions made it ideal for stowing in camper vans or boats, contributing to
its cult status among adventurers and collectors.
This example was first
registered in September 1971 and is showing as only six former keepers and with
the current since 2018, the current V5C shows as a historic moped, and the
paperwork includes ten old MOT certificates.
In need of some
recommissioning following a period of being tucked away in dry storage since it
was last on the road in 2017 and only covered 30 miles since its last
MOT.
A perfect little winter project with an engine that turns over
freely with good compression. An exhaust is required and currently we don’t have
the keys, but the number is marked on the barrel.
The perfect small
classic motorcycle for any collection!
