KE175; a groovy slice of seventies motorcycling culture; sympathetic
restoration
Straight out of the disco
decade, Kawasaki’s KE175 captured the free-spirited energy of the 1970s trail scene. Lightweight, nimble and
powered by a zingy 175cc two-stroke single, it delivered punchy performance with a six-speed gearbox and simple drum brakes.
At just 110kg, it was
the perfect companion for learners and weekend adventurers alike, whether
carving dirt tracks or cruising to the record shop. With its period enduro
styling, upright stance and unmistakable Kawasaki green, this KE175 is a fine
example — a groovy slice of seventies motorcycling culture ready to bring back
the era of flares and freedom.
A rare KE175B
prefix UK model, showing only 4,801 miles, declared to have been manufactured in
1978. Showing as no former keepers on the current V5C, looking stunning
in candy emerald green this machine has recently undergone a sympathetic
restoration. With rebuilt wheels, fresh paintwork, Bridgestone tyres
and the forks have been re-chromed and rebuilt too.
Included are some spares, including a new engine decal, KE175 exhaust
plate, fork seals, chain and sprocket.
Has been
starting and running sweetly onsite for the pictures and video.
