The V5C shows no former keepers;
500cc single; Showing only 50,498 miles
The V5C shows no former keepers
and showing 50,498 miles, this 1961 AJS 500cc single, offered with
excellent accompanying paperwork including the current V5C, that states its a
1961 AJS 31 Deluxe, the original green continuation logbook and a selection of
old MOT certificates documenting its earlier life on the road. The engine number
identifies the engine as a 1955 unit.
It comes from a small collection of British
motorcycles that have been in dry storage for around six years, so a degree of
recommissioning will be required before returning to use. The 500cc De Luxe
models of this period were known for their smooth, tractable performance and
handsome AMC styling, and examples with single-ownership provenance are
increasingly uncommon.
A well-documented and appealing British
single with strong history, offering a straightforward opportunity for
sympathetic recommissioning.
The number plate maybe transferrable, the V5C
does not state otherwise.
