Showing only 38,717 miles; only two former

glamour
When Maserati introduced the Spyder GT in the
early 2000s, it marked a confident return to form for the marque. Powered by the
glorious 4.2-litre Ferrari-derived V8 and, in GT form, equipped
with the far more desirable 6-speed manual gearbox, the Spyder
offered a compelling blend of Italian theatre, long-legged touring ability and
open-top glamour. With production numbers
relatively low and many cars having led hard lives, well-kept, low-mileage manual examples have become
increasingly sought after.
Finished in a beautifully rich metallic blue
with a matching electrically operated blue hood and contrasting tan interior,
this 2003 example presents extremely well. Showing only 38,717 miles, it has
clearly been cherished, and the V5C records just two former keepers, a notably
low figure for a 21-year-old Italian sports
car.
The current
MOT runs until February 2027, and the car is accompanied by a reassuring history
file including 15 old MOT certificates, invoices, the handbook, and the original
book pack and service book. The vendor advises that the car starts, runs and
drives as it should, and it was driven to the sale for the photographs and
video.
A
handsome, low-mileage manual-gearbox Maserati Spyder, offered in
a superb colour combination and with excellent provenance. With its charismatic
V8, elegant styling and increasingly rare specification, this is a very
appealing example of Maserati’s early-2000s
renaissance.
