Reserve
Epic '90s luxury saloon packed with pioneering
tech; 3.5 litre V6 with auto 'box; under 95k indicated with 19 service stamps
and clean MOT until July 2022
Supplied new in June
1996 this smart Legend was at the time, Honda’s flagship executive saloon was
the 3rd generation, known as the KA9 and is powered by a front
mounted 3,5 litre V6 developing 212bhp driving the front wheels (unlike its
German competition) via 5-speed automatic transmission.
Finished in
Crescent Silver (A4) and wearing its original 16inch flat face multi-hole alloy
wheels the car looks wonderfully understated, akin to a 90s Merc S-class and
Lexus LS. The driver sits ensconced in anthracite leather
with two-stage heated electric seats, wood trim, cruise control, sunroof,
front fog lights, working remote central locking and boor release, digital
climate control (A/C non-functional, parts in the boot although the heating
/blower cool air still works normally its just not chilled) and original Honda
stereo system.
The mileage indicator has, the vendor informs us become
increasingly difficult to read of late (a common Legend foible) and is reputed
to be c. 94,400 miles which is backed up by an impressive 19 service stamps, the
last in March 2019 at 92,455 miles by Auto Union of Corby with all but this most
recent service by either a Honda or Nissan main dealer. In addition, the folder
includes the V5C showing 6 previous owners to our current, old V5C and a
selection of invoices including a £520 spend in March 2019 on 2 new upper
suspension arms, another for a timing belt and service kit at the same
time.
The Legend comes with a current MOT valid until July 2022 which
recorded the mileage at 94,277 plus 3 old MOT certificates. Offered at No
Reserve, the highest bid takes this slice of 90’s executive motoring home with
them. Tempting huh?.
